Parlour Hygiene Service
The Parlour Hygiene service uses traditional plate culture methods to determine:
An indicator of bacterial contamination from milking equipment or coliform mastitis.
Indicative of inadequate plant cleaning.
These bacteria grow at refrigeration temperatures and suggest poor bulk tank cleaning and/or inadequate milk cooling.
Total Viable Count (TVC)
This indicates the number of bacteria able to multiply in the milk.
To order a parlour hygiene on a bulk sample please call 01902 749920 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Results are available through normal notification methods of post, fax or email. Culture results are available within five days of the sample reaching the laboratory.
